Delights of Ljubljana

Ljubljana, Slovenian capital and the biggest city, lays on the banks of the river Ljubljanica. The roots of the city can be traceable all the way to the 1. century B.C., when the Roman castrum was established. The city’s name is probably a derivation from a latin word alluvies (flood), which describes the typical geographical characteristic of that area. Ljubljana is often referred as „a small Prague“.

We are offering you a beautiful one-day trip to the picturesque and charming place, where you can enjoy in multiple ways. The walking in the city-centre gives you an impression of a city’s soul and customs. For a panoramic view of the city, there is a castle on the hill above the centre. Ljubljana offers you plenty of coffee shops and restaurants, so after a walking tour, you can relax with a drink or a meal.

MAIN SIGHTS

  • The Triple Bridge
  • The old town
  • Franciscan church on Prešern square

All the sights, except the Old town, are located next to each other, so the city tour does not last too long. Bridges and fountains are big attraction in Ljubljana’s centre, so you should not miss them. If you decide to go uphill to the Old town, you can take the stairs or the funicular.

Ljubljana is only 90 minutes away from Zagreb, so you would not feel exhausted of a long drive. Worth of mentioning is that the private tour is operated just with your party and a guide/driver.
